Trans South & Central Sulawesi Tour 12 Days/ 11 Nights

First, we'll pick you up from the hotel or airport and head straight to your hotel in Toraja. Along the way, you'll get to see the traditional houses of the Bugis people. Second, we'll stop for lunch at a restaurant in the small city of Pare-Pare. Third, we'll continue our journey with a coffee break in the Enrekang district, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery. After that, we'll continue on to Toraja. Finally, we'll arrive at your hotel for an overnight stay.

After breakfast at the hotel, we'll spend a full day exploring the fascinating Toraja Land. Our first stop is Lemo, where you'll see the unique cliff-side stone graves with wooden effigies on the balconies. Then, we'll continue to Tampang Allo, a cave burial site where the royal families are laid to rest. We'll also visit the Baby Grave. Lunch will be at a local restaurant. After lunch, we'll visit Kete Kesu, a traditional village famous for its beautiful wooden carvings. In the late afternoon, we'll return to the hotel for the night and dinner.

After breakfast, depart for Pendolo via Palopo, the capital of Luwu Regency, historically known as an important Muslim port. Lunch will be served en route. The journey then continues through scenic palm oil plantations, providing a relaxing countryside view before arriving in Pendolo in the late afternoon. Pendolo is a charming lakeside village located on the southern shore of Lake Poso, a deep freshwater lake famous for its crystal-clear waters and white sandy beaches. Dinner will be served at a local restaurant, and you will stay overnight at a hotel in Pendolo.

After breakfast, embark on a scenic boat journey across Lake Poso to Tentena, taking approximately three hours. Known as one of Indonesia’s most beautiful and crystal-clear freshwater lakes, Lake Poso offers stunning views throughout the crossing. Upon arrival in Tentena, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. The afternoon is free at leisure, allowing you to relax, explore the surroundings, or enjoy the peaceful lakeside atmosphere. Dinner will be served in the evening, followed by an overnight stay at a hotel or cottage in Tentena.

After breakfast, set out to visit Wera Saluopa Waterfall in Tonusu, a beautiful natural attraction featuring twelve cascading tiers surrounded by lush greenery. Continue with a leisurely walk through a Balinese transmigration village, where you can observe unique cultural traditions and daily life influenced by Balinese heritage. Lunch will be served en route. In the afternoon, enjoy free time to take a relaxing walk or simply unwind by the tranquil lakeside. Dinner will be served in the evening, followed by an overnight stay at a hotel or cottage.

After breakfast, depart for Ampana, enjoying lunch along the way. The journey takes you through picturesque villages, stretches of white sandy beaches, and scenic coconut plantations, offering beautiful views of local coastal life. Arrive in Ampana in the afternoon, where you can relax after the drive. Dinner will be served at a local restaurant, followed by an overnight stay at a cozy cottage in Ampana.

After breakfast, set out on a boat cruise to Togian Island by local motorized boat or local ferry. Enjoy a simple lunch on board while taking in the surrounding seascape. If you are lucky, you may spot dolphins swimming and playing alongside the boat, adding a magical touch to the journey. Arrive at Togian Island in the afternoon, where you can relax and soak in the tropical atmosphere. Dinner will be served at the resort, followed by an overnight stay.

After breakfast, enjoy a full day of island exploration around the small islands near Bomba. Visit Kuling Kenari Village, home to the Bajau tribe, where traditional houses are built over dead coral reefs, offering a fascinating insight into their unique sea-oriented lifestyle. Return to the resort for lunch. The afternoon is free at leisure—take the opportunity to go snorkeling, swim in the clear waters, or simply relax on the white sandy beach. Dinner will be served in the evening, followed by an overnight stay at the resort.

After breakfast, embark on a half-day jungle trek to Bomba Village, walking through lush coconut plantations and witnessing the traditional processing of “Gulah Merah” (palm sugar). Along the way, you will also visit other Bajau villages, gaining insight into their unique culture and coastal way of life. After returning to the resort, enjoy lunch and dinner at the resort, followed by an overnight stay in comfortable accommodation.

After breakfast, enjoy a free day at leisure. You may go snorkeling directly in front of the resort, exploring the vibrant marine life, or choose to join a Tryout Dive Course for an introduction to underwater diving. Spend the rest of the day relaxing and soaking in the island atmosphere. Dinner will be served in the evening, followed by an overnight stay at the resort.

After breakfast, transfer back to Ampana by motorized boat or local ferry. Upon arrival, continue with a scenic overland journey to Palu, the capital city of Central Sulawesi. Lunch will be served en route as you pass through diverse landscapes and local villages. Arrive in Palu in the late afternoon, where you can relax after the long drive. Dinner will be served in the evening, followed by an overnight stay at a hotel in Palu.

After breakfast, enjoy a short city tour of Palu, where you will have the opportunity to see key highlights and experience the local atmosphere of the city. Afterwards, you will be transferred to the airport in time to catch your flight to your next destination, bringing your journey to a pleasant close.
