South Sulawesi Tour 8 Days/ 7 Nights

After breakfast at the hotel, we will depart for Tanjung Bira. Lunch will be provided en route. Along the journey, we will stop to visit the traditional salt fields in Jeneponto. Then, we will visit to Tana Beru, where the famous traditional Phinisi boats are built. We then continue on to Bira. Before arriving, an entrance fee will be collected, after which we proceed directly to the hotel. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at the hotel in Bira.

After breakfast, we will take you on an island trip to Liukang for snorkeling (optional). The journey takes approximately 30 minutes by local boat, depending on weather conditions. Lunch and a coffee break will be served at a small local restaurant. (Snorkeling equipment can be rented in Bira at your own expense.) In the afternoon, we return to Bira. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at a simple accommodation.

After breakfast, transfer to Sengkang. Along the way, you will see many traditional Buginese and Makassarnese houses and enjoy beautiful ocean views. Lunch will be served en route at a local restaurant. Upon arrival in Sengkang in the afternoon, you will check in at the hotel. Afterward, continue to Lake Tempe for a boat trip across the lake and a visit to the floating villages. You may have the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful sunset over Lake Tempe. Return to the hotel and overnight stay at Sermani Hotel.

In the morning after breakfast, we continue the trip with a visit to a local silk-weaving center. Sengkang is well known as the heart of the silk industry. Afterward, we head north and stop for lunch at a small local restaurant with spectacular views of Mount Bambapuang before continuing on to Toraja. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at a hotel in Rantepao, Toraja.

After breakfast at the hotel, we'll spend a full day exploring the fascinating Toraja Land. Our first stop is Lemo, where you'll see the unique cliff-side stone graves with wooden effigies on the balconies. Then, we'll continue to Tampang Allo, a cave burial site where the royal families are laid to rest. We'll also visit the Baby Grave. Lunch will be at a local restaurant. After lunch, we'll visit Kete Kesu, a traditional village famous for its beautiful wooden carvings. In the late afternoon, we'll return to the hotel for the night and dinner.

On the second full day of the excursion, you will visit the traditional cotton-weaving village of Sa’dan. The journey continues to Bori, home to ancient megalithic stones, before proceeding to Mount Sesean to enjoy panoramic views of the expansive rice-field terraces at Batutumonga. Lunch will be served at this beautiful location. After lunch, enjoy a gentle nature walk through the rice fields, where you can observe local activities along the way down to the village. Later, you will be picked up by our driver and transferred back to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, transfer back to Makassar. Enjoy a coffee break at Puncak Lakawan to admire the spectacular view of the Erotic Mountain. Lunch will be served at a seafood restaurant in Pare-Pare. Afterward, continue the transfer to your hotel in Makassar for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, enjoy a short city tour of Makassar, visiting Fort Rotterdam, the historic Dutch fortress, and Paotere Anchorage, the traditional harbor of the Makassarnese and Buginese. Afterward, transfer directly to Hasanuddin International Airport for your next destination.
