Trans South & Central Sulawesi Tour 16/15

After checking in, go to the Puteh river in Maros and take a boat to the Rammang Rammang mountain Karst. Along the trip, enjoy a beautiful panorama with mangrove trees. After touring Rammang Rammang, go to BIRA by passing through some typical Makassar villages. Along the way, stop at TANA BERU to observe how Phinisi boats are traditionally built. In-transit dining. Directly arrive in Bira and check into the hotel.

Visit Liukang Island for a free program or to learn about the daily activities of the island's fishermen; you can swim and snorkel there during the day and return to your hotel in the afternoon.

After breakfast, travel to Sengkang, where there is a lake Tempe, and stop at Sinjai to look at the traditional port. Lunch will be served on the way. Arrive at Sengkang and check into a hotel like the Pondok Eka or BBC before taking a boat ride on Lake TEMPE to observe the lakeside locals' way of life, floating homes, and a traditional silk weaving town. Later in the day, return to the hotel for dinner and the night.

After breakfast at the hotel, travel the approximately five hours to Toraja over magnificent mountain passes populated with characteristic Buginese homes. The BUKIT INDAH restaurant at Pare-Pare, a small port town located 155 kilometers north of Ujung Pandang, will serve lunch. After lunch, continue on our trip to Toraja, stopping along the way at Puncak Lakawan (Top Hill) to take in the stunning views of the beautiful mountain. Stop in Lemo first, where there is a stone grave and a statue of the dead, then continue to Londa, where there is a natural grave with hanging graves, and the last, Kete Kesu, where there are Toraja houses decorated in wood carving. Arrives at Toraja Land in the late afternoon; checks into a hotel for the night and dinner.

After breakfast, we have another full day of exploration planned for Tana Toraja. Visit Sadan Village, the center's traditional Toraja weaving. Visit Pallawa, a beautiful traditional village including rows of tongkonan homes and traditional granaries. Start your hike to Batutumonga through Akung village to make the journey even more stunning. Akung village's have beautiful mountain, rice fields, coffee, and cocoa plantations, and surrounding greenery all contribute to the trip's impressiveness. If you're lucky, you'll run upon locals participating in their traditional activities. Arrive in the late afternoon, check-in at the homestay, have dinner, and overnight.

After breakfast, trekking deep into the countryside on the footpath, crossing the river through a suspension bamboo bridge, and walking passing through coffee and cacao plantation. En route, you will find a very beautiful landscape, old traditional houses, and a stone grave. Afternoon arrives in Limbung, have dinner, and overnight at the simple village with the real traditional house (Tongkonan) in which you will stay with a local family.

After breakfast, go from Pangala to Ma'dong village through Dende, passing through some beautiful rice field scenery. You will be picked up at Dende and taken use car to Rantepao to complete this descent-only trip. Dinner and a night in a hotel.

Note : If there is traditional funeral ceremony which can be reached by foot will be included within two days Toraja tour. A typical torajan local fruits & live stuff market can also be visited during your two days tour in Toraja Land.

After breakfast, we leave the hotel at 5 a.m Toraja to Tentena, it will take 12 hours some stop on the way for Spectacular panorama in Puncak with valley, big forest where many butterfly. After, Palopo city continue to Masamba region and Bone - Bone until Mangkutana, this region is transmigration area where many people from Java, Bali and others are live here. Then, we can rest the gate between South Sulawesi and Center Sulawesi to see the beautiful panorama. Then, we can continue to Tentena. Finally, Arrive in Siuri cottage for overnight and dinner.

After breakfast at hotel. We can start our trip to the Saluopa Village to look the Bali village. Then, lunch while we can enjoy one of the beautiful waterfall in Sulawesi island. After that, around 05 p.m we go to look the little ghost animal is Tersier, we can only see in the evening. Finally, back to the hotel for dinner and overnight in the hotel because tomorrow we will go to Bada Valley.

After breakfast at the hotel, we take an 4-hour drive to Bada Valley, where we check in at Ningsih Homestay. After lunch, we start our megaliths trip, which includes a visit to Palindo, a huge Sulawesi megalith in the Sepe area. Walk across the hanging bridge, across cocoa plantations, and through rice fields as you travel the flat 7 kilometres to your homestay. Continue your hikes from the Palindo megalith toward the Maturu, Crown, Kalambas, and Oba megaliths. Lunch will soon arrive. Continue your hike after lunch to the main road, where a jeep will pick us up and take us to Tinoe, where traditional bark clothing is processed, before continuing to the Baula megaliths. Return to Bomba village, where the homestays are, by jeep from Baula. We make a stop at the Tarai Roi and Ari Ipohi megaliths along route. Dinner and a night's stay at the Ningsih homestay.

After breakfast at homestay, with porter and ranger you will start your real adventure trekking towards Besoa Valley by way of pure jungle of Lore Lindu National Park. First about 4 hours is climbing through tropical rain forest. Total time approximately we spend about 6 hours to reach to the place where we will stay overnight in a hut or tent in the jungle. Guide and ranger will prepare lunch box. Dinner and stay overnight in a hut. (Elevation is between 1500-2000 meters above sea level).

After breakfast, Continue your jungle trek to Besoa Valley through tropical rainforest. Today, the trek mostly going down towards Besoa Valley, which spend about 7 – 8 hours. Sometimes you could see a group of Sulawesi macacas, horn bills (rhyticeros cassidix) and sulawesi serpent eagle (spilornis rufipectus). Upon arrival at open area before Doda village you will be surprise to see a spectacular panorama of Besoa Valley. Arrive in the afternoon in Doda village. Check in at Rezky homestay. Dinner at your home stay.

Morning after breakfast, start your exploration around Besoa Valley visits to Tadulako megalith. Just about 3 kms behind Doda village, walk through rice fields and a few savannah. Tadulako is located up the hill. From Tadulako, continue hikes to Pokekea area (about 7 kms from Tadulako megalith.You will walk through villages and ricefields. Lunch will be done at Pokekea area. Pokekea is a group of megaliths where you could many different type and shape of megaliths. From Pokekea, you will proceed by car to visit a pregnance megalith behind the village before go back to your homestay. Dinner at your home stay.

After breakfast, we driving to Napu Valley. Arrived in Napu Valley, we will visit to Watutau megaliths, Wanga and Tamadue megalith. These three megaliths are located in Napu Valley. Lunch enroute. Check in at Homestay at Wuasa Village. After check-in, we will do another short trekking arround Napu Valley to see some Birds including Endemics Birds from Sulawesi. Late afternoon, back to Homestay for dinner and overnight.

Early morning at 5AM, we will drive up to Tambing Lake where we will be seeing many Birds around this location. Back to homestay for Breakfast and Shower. Then continue drive to Palu city. Lunch will be on the way. Arrive Palu city, capital town of Central Sulawesi. Check in at hotel. Dinner out side of the hotel.
