Lore Lindu Trekking Tour Trans South & Central Sulawesi 16 days/15nights

After breakfast check out from the Hotel and before drive long for 5 hours to Bira , we can stop for a while in Fort Rotterdam and to Traditional Hourbor in Paotere port. Then, take a drive to BIRA passing through some typical Makassar villages like in Jeneponto for Salted farm and TANA BERU to see the traditional Phinisi boat building. After that, lunch before arrive in Bira. Finally, arrive in Bira (there is the entrance fee before come inside Bira) and check-in at Hotel.

In the morning, after breakfast take a private boat to Liukang Island where the closer island to Bira , many fisherman are live there and you can go to Fish market to buy big fish and in the midday we can make barbeque in the island and have a lunch together, after snorkeling or swim then take boat for back to Hotel in Bira. 

After breakfast, we can continue our trip to Sengkang where the Lake Tempe there. Then, Lunch enroute. Arrive in Sengkang directly check-in at Sermani hotel and then proceed to take a boat-trip on the lake TEMPE to see the way of life of local people who live at the lakeside, floating houses, and traditional silk weaving village. Late afternoon back to Hotel for Overnight and dinner.

After breakfast at hotel, directly transfer to Toraja with approximately 05 hours drive along magnificent mountain passes with the typical Buginese houses. Then, lunch at small restaurant in Enrekang with enjoy the beautiful of erotic mountain. After that, in the afternoon arrive in Toraja Land, directly check-in at Hotel for overnight and dinner.

Morning after breakfast, We have another fullday exploring Tana Toraja. Visit Sadan village, the Toraja weaving center. Visit Pallawa, a spectacular traditional village with rows of tongkonan houses and traditional granaries. Then start trekking to Batutumonga via Akung village with its magnificent and fascinating mountain, rice terrace, coffee and cacao plantation, and green trees surrounding will give the trip more impressive one. By chance, you meet the local people doing their activities in traditional way. Afternoon arrive in Batutumonga, check-in at Homestay, dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, trekking deep into the country’s side through the footpath, crossing the river through suspension bamboo bridge and walking passing through coffee and cacao plantation. Enroute you will find a very beautiful landscape, old traditional houses, and stone grave. Afternoon arrive in Limbung, dinner and overnight at simple village with the real traditional house (Tongkonan) in which you will stay at with local family.

Breakfast at Panggala’ then proceed to Ma’dong village via Dende with a very beautiful sceneries of rice fields landscape. You will be picked up at Dende to continue by car to Rantepao. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Note: If there is traditional funeral ceremony or other ceremony which can be reached by foot will be included within two days Toraja tour. A typical toraja local fruits & live stuff market can also be visited during your two days tour in Toraja Land.

After breakfast, we leave the hotel at 5 a.m Toraja to Tentena, it will take 12 hours some stop on the way for Spectacular panorama in Puncak with valley, big forest where many butterfly. After, Palopo city continue to Masamba region and Bone - Bone until Mangkutana, this region is transmigration area where many people from Java , Bali and others are live here. Then, we can rest the gate between South Sulawesi and Center Sulawesi to see the beautiful panorama. Then, we can continue to Tentena. Finally, Arrive in Siuri cottage for overnight and dinner.

After breakfast at hotel. We can start our trip to the Saluopa Village to look the Bali village. Then, lunch while we can enjoy one of the beautiful waterfall in Sulawesi island. After that, around 05 p.m we go to look the little ghost animal is Tersier, we can only see in the evening. Finally, back to the hotel for dinner and overnight in the hotel because tomorrow we will go to Bada Valley.

After breakfast at hotel, we drive to Bada Valley takes about 4 hours drive, check in at Ningsih Homestay and after lunch start your megaliths tour visits to a huge megalith of Sulawesi in Sepe area called Palindo. Located in Savannah and flat 7 km from your home stay, walk crossing hanging bridge and through cocoa plantations and rice fields. From Palindo megalith, continue hikes towards Maturu, Crown, Kalambas and Oba megalith. Lunch will be on the way. After lunch continue hiking to the main road where a jeep will pick us up for transfer to visit Tinoe, traditional bark clothes processing then to Baula megaliths. From Baula, by jeep drive back to Bomba village where the home stays is located. On the way we stop at Tarai Roi and Ari Ipohi megalith. Dinner and stay overnight at Ningsih homestay.

After breakfast at homestay, with porter and ranger you will start your real adventure trekking towards Besoa Valley by way of pure jungle of Lore Lindu National Park. First about 4 hours is climbing through tropical rain forest. Total time approximately we spend about 6 hours to reach to the place where we will stay overnight in a hut or tent in the jungle. Guide and ranger will prepare lunch box. Dinner and stay overnight in a hut. (Elevation is between 1500-2000 meters above sea level).

After breakfast, Continue your jungle trek to Besoa Valley through tropical rainforest. Today, the trek mostly going down towards Besoa Valley, which spend about 7 – 8 hours. Sometimes you could see a group of Sulawesi macacas, horn bills (rhyticeros cassidix) and sulawesi serpent eagle (spilornis rufipectus). Upon arrival at open area before Doda village you will be surprise to see a spectacular panorama of Besoa Valley. Arrive in the afternoon in Doda village. Check in at Rezky homestay. Dinner at your home stay.

Morning after breakfast, start your exploration around Besoa Valley visits to Tadulako megalith. Just about 3 kms behind Doda village, walk through rice fields and a few savannah. Tadulako is located up the hill. From Tadulako, continue hikes to Pokekea area (about 7 kms from Tadulako megalith. You will walk through villages and ricefields. Lunch will be done at Pokekea area. Pokekea is a group of megaliths where you could many different type and shape of megaliths. From Pokekea, you will proceed by car to visit a pregnance megalith behind the village before go back to your homestay. Dinner at your home stay.

After breakfast, we driving to Napu Valley. Arrived in Napu Valley, we will visit to Watutau megaliths, Wanga and Tamadue megalith. These three megaliths are located in Napu Valley. Lunch enroute. Check in at Homestay at Wuasa Village. After check-in, we will do another short trekking arround Napu Valley to see some Birds including Endemics Birds from Sulawesi. Late afternoon, back to Homestay for dinner and overnight.

Early morning at 5AM, we will drive up to Tambing Lake where we will be seeing many Birds around this location. Back to homestay for Breakfast and Shower. Then continue drive to Palu city. Lunch will be on the way. Arrive Palu city, capital town of Central Sulawesi. Check in at hotel. Dinner outside of the hotel.
