Korowai Trekking 11days/10Nights

Morning after arrive in Sentani Jayapura airport directly continue by plaine to Dekai. On arrival at Dekai airport you will get a police stamp for your travel permit and then get a car direct transfer to Lokbon harbor where you will have a boat charter for korowai. Stay and overnight in Lokbon.

After breakfast at local accommodation in Lokbon, take the Motorized canoe charter departure to the first Korowai base for about 6-7 hour, here your guide will arrange local porters for the next journey. Overnight in tent .

Starting the treck together with porters for about 5 hours and we hope to reach korowai village ( clandestine ), here you will enjoy the natural life of korowai people and to see the tree houses and for their daily activity. Overnightin Tent

This day do treck again around the Korowai area for seeing more primitif life of Nomaden people trought the jungle treck , afternoon make a tent and

stay in the Korowai area .

Today you will enjoy the korowai ceremony of sago feast and join them for hunting and searching sago warm, making traps, etc. back to the village for lunch. After lunch you will join woman fishing by using traditional way. Overnight in Tent .

Today trekking we expect to get Yaniruma, the home base for Korowai and Kombai people live together. We paddling dug-out canoe crossing dairam river.Overnight in Local houses or Tent .

Today we start very early toward the harbors to get motorized charter boat for about 7-8 hours drive on the way down to Sengggo we passing through Citak Mitak tribes. Arrive Senggo we check in at simple accommodation. Rest time to get police stam for Surat Jalan ( Travel permit ) in Senggo. Overnight in Local Houses .

4 hours drive to Asmat village on the way you will see Asmat people paddling canoe and fishing. Arrive Asmat village we stay at teacher house or school. Rest of day you may walking around for experience.

Today you will see Asmat ceremony such as paddling canoes, singing and dancing. A view minutes available for shopping then continue your journey to Soator village for overnight.

Walking to the dock to get motorboat for back to Dekai. Stay overnight in Dekai.

Breakfast, early transfer by car to the airport in Dekai, for departure to Sentani/Jayapura. Over night stay in hotel.
